Boarding and Care


Nutrition
Quality hay and grains are provided to all horses twice daily.  Supplements (provided by owner) administered upon request.

Turnout
All horses are turned out a minimum of eight hours daily, weather permitting.  Paddocks provide access to fresh hay and water, mineral salt and walk-in shelter.  Horses blanketed as required (blankets provided by owner).

Veterinary Services and Deworming*
Dr. Janet Durso, DVM, serves as our barn veterinarian.  Regular visits are scheduled for shots and services.  Notice is posted and sign-up required.  Medications will be administered as prescribed.
All horses are kept on a regular deworming schedule.
Boarders have the option of using another veterinarian of their choosing.

Farrier Services*
Mike Skiba serves as our barn farrier.  Regular visits are scheduled for services.  Notice is posted and sign-up required.
Boarders have the option of using another farrier of their choosing.

General Care/24 Hour Oversight
Stalls are cleaned and replenished with fresh water and wood shavings daily.  Horses are handled and observed multiple times daily.
All paddocks are within eyesight of our home.
Barn check conducted every evening.


* Veterinarian and Farrier charges are the responsibility of the horse owner.  Dream Haven charges additional fees for deworming, administration of certain medications and emergency care.  Standing for veterinarian or farrier care services are also available at an additional charge.
